Court nullifies election of Speaker of Parliament

Harare - The Supreme
Court today ruled in favor (3-2) of Jonathan Moyo & 2 others
in respect of the nullification of the results of the election of
the speaker. This effectively means that soon or later the Lower
House will have to conduct an election for this important post.

- The arrest of the Energy Minister, Elton Mangoma is set to bring
conflict in the Inclusive Government. Mangoma was arrested for fraudulently
awarding a tender to a company to supply fuel. Tensions in government
are set to rise after ZANU PF blocked the investigation of Local
Government Minister Ignatius Chombo who was accused of corruption.
Meanwhile, the Bulawayo Progressive Residents Association has been
left in limbo as they had invited Mangoma to present in a public
meeting discussing ZESA. The permanent secretary shall present on
behalf of Elton Mangoma at the BPRA meeting.
Bulawayo
- Bulawayo Agenda shall tomorrow hold a leadership Forum to discuss
the implications of anti-sanctions petition on the GPA
and the inclusive government. The speakers shall e representatives
of political parties and the participants shall be drawn from Civic
Society leadership, residents of Bulawayo, academics, youths and
women's groups. The meeting shall be held at the Bulawayo
Agenda's democracy centre from 1000hrs to 1200hrs.
