the following strategies that will help to ensure that these community
leaders create a culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence:
- Create peace
building caucus groups (peace ambassadors) that will safe guard
the community from abuse by political leaders.
- Come up
with information centers were point persons will be chosen to
document detailed and accurate cases of violence that will be
presented to the members of the police force who will be expected
to take appropriate action.
- The local
leaders also agreed to work with Heal Zimbabwe in holding five
public meetings to be attended by villagers in respective communities
where people will be given a platform to openly discuss about
peace.
The public meetings
will be held between the month of October and November 2010 in Muzarabani
