  • Maguwu case: Bail ruling expected on Monday
    Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition
    June 17, 2010

Justice Chinembiri Bhunu, who is presiding over the Centre for Community Research and Development (CRD) director, Farai Maguwu's bail appeal is expected to deliver judgement on Monday 21 June 2010 at 2.30pm following the adjourning of the court today, 18 June.

Concluding court proceedings, which began at 2.30pm and ended at 4.45pm Justice Bhunu said that he would be unable to attend to the case tomorrow as he has a tight schedule.

The bail appeal comes after Harare Magistrate; Donald Ndirowei denied Maguwu bail on the 10th of June 2010. Maguwu is facing charges of contravening Section 31 of the Criminal law (Codification and reform) Act by allegedly publishing and communicating falsehoods.
