Bulawayo
Agenda
March 09, 2010
The Daily Agenda,
published from Monday to Friday provides information on critical
governance and developmental issues. It is our hope that the information
provided will be useful to our constituency of readership, particularly
the leaders at the local level and civil society practitioners,
in informing and shaping their choice of developmental objectives
and initiatives.
Mutare
- Residents in the city are facing problems with water
supply which is only available from midnight to dawn. Residents
have expressed concern about the shortage of water dating three
years back, saying that this may lead to cholera outbreaks. They
said that the lack of a resident's association is a push back
to the plight of residents being addressed.
Bulawayo
- Yesterday, the Zimbabwe
Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) hosted the celebration of the
International Women's Day. The ZCTU Women Advocacy Council
wrote a petition to appeal to the government to make the 8th of
March a Public Holiday in the Zimbabwean Calendar.
Upcoming
Events
- On the 10th
of March, Bulawayo Agenda will be holding a Constitutional Debate
Series meeting in Mangwe District in Matabeleland South.
