- The Zimbabwe Chamber of Informal Economy Association
official, Councillor Manning has said that Estate Agents are charging
high rentals for their clients. Manning said his association met
with representatives from Knight Frank and John Pocock to discuss
the high rentals charged by the property developers as the Estate
Agents are violating government directives on rental charges.
The Bulawayo
City Council will not change its by-laws. This comes after reports
that the Council wants to amend its by-laws on stream bank cultivation.
Chamber Secretary of the City Council, Sikhangele Zhou, said that
council cannot allow stream bank cultivation as it is guided by
the Environmental Management Act. She also took a swipe at councilors
who promise the electorate that they will allow stream bank cultivation
as a way of gaining political mileage.
The civil servants'
union has accused some of their members for going to work to do
corrupt activities. Union leaders met civil servants at the Stanley
Square in Makokoba to evaluate the strike that has been on going
from the 5th of last month. Progressive teachers union of Zimbabwe
Secretary General, Raymond Majongwe told civil servants that some
teachers are going to schools as a way of milking incentives from
parents. Civil servants accused each other of sabotage in carrying
out the industrial action.

- On the 3rd
of March, there will be a constitutional Debate Meeting in Ward
2 Tsholotsho, and in Hwange East and Central.
- On the 4th
a meeting to discuss the impact of civil servants' strike
will be held at the Lupane's Women Centre and Pupu at 10am.
- The 5th there
will be a constituency meeting at Hwange Baobab Hotel at 2pm.
