    Bulawayo Agenda
    March 01, 2010

The Daily Agenda, published from Monday to Friday provides information on critical governance and developmental issues. It is our hope that the information provided will be useful to our constituency of readership, particularly the leaders at the local level and civil society practitioners, in informing and shaping their choice of developmental objectives and initiatives.

Plumtree - In a public meeting held at the town's Business Incubator, it emerged that the people are not certain of the success of the constitutional process as there have been less information channeled to the people in that small town. It became apparent that most people, who do not attend the constitutional debate meetings, lose out and might be misinformed. People in Plumtree highlighted on issues such as the need for an independent commission for elections and constitutional; limiting cabinet size; nationalization of local languages which are becoming extinct and de-politicization of local governance among others.

Bulawayo - Dumisani Sibanda, the Sunday News Editor, was re-elected as the new Zimbabwe Union of Journalist (ZUJ) President winning a contest between Isdore Guvamombe and Godwin Mangudya, after elections at a Bulawayo Hotel over the weekend.
