MDC
pull out of unity government: The West losing influence in Africa
Foundation of Reason and Justice
October 17, 2009
"By not aiding
democratic groups in the appropriate way Britain and the West are
going to loose influence in Africa."
It's a dangerous
and pervasive trend that leaders who lost elections are kept in
power in the so called Unity Government. Mugabe and his ZANU PF
state are still in power by cheat and support of South Africa and
SADC.
Morgan Tsvangirai (Movement
for Democratic Change), MDC should not have accepted Unity Government
nor the post of Prime Minister. Tsvangirai won presidential elections.
Why should he be a puppet of Mugabe.
Zimbabweans should condemn
the Unity government and pressure the MDC to pull out. Leaders who
have been voted out of power by the majority must leave. Where is
democracy? Where are human rights? Where is justice? What's
the use of elections if dictators refuse to go?
Mugabe is a mass murderer.
Tens of thousands of Matebele people have been massacred in the
1980s. ZANU PF leaders own everything in Zimbabwe including water.
All the wealth for the country is being feasted on few people.
MDC must pull out of
Unity Government and stage out mass action. With discontent is all
ranks of the Army mass action can succeed. To continue with ZANU
PF is a greater disaster for the future of the country. The authority
to rule comes from God and the people. Religious or any other reasons
given to support staying in power by mass murderers should not be
considered.
The British, the former
colonial power has betrayed the black people of Zimbabwe. The British
installed ZANU PF in power in 1980. Some Zimbabweans think that
Dr. Joshua Nkomo, the ZAPU leader was the one who had merits to
be president. But the British contrived with Mugabe. Prime Minister
Abel Muzorewa and Joshua Nkomo were all sidelined.1980 elections.
rigged. ZANU PF did not win elections. Voter's intimidation, murder
of opponents, torture by ZANU PF was not uncommon. Even Lord Soames
(the British appoint or Governor) to supervise elections complained
about ZANU PF conduct and wanted to disqualify it from elections.
But the British proceeded to pronounce Robert Mugabe the WINNER.
In Countries such as
Sierra Leone, Britain has sent its special forces to disband the
West Side boys. The level of evil of ZANU PF is more than that of
West Side boys. By not aiding democratic groups in the appropriate
way Britain and the West are going to loose influence in Africa.
Many African countries are becoming pro-East. Within three decades
Western influence would have been kicked out of Southern Africa.
Africa will be completely pro-East.
Patriotic and Conservative
Africans loved the Western principles of justice, democracy and
free enterprise. I cannot completely rule out colonialism. Many
good things came to Africa. The West talks of human rights, democracy
as condition for its aid to Africa. China and Russia do not care
about such basic principles of progress and development. Not all
colonialism was bad. We rejected oppression of leaders such as King
Leopold in Congo; the cruel colonial rule of the Portuguese in Angola
and others. Before colonialism Africa was bad, witchcraft, petty
tyrant, human rights abuse, child abuse, slavery, Women abuse, cannibalism
all beset Africa. We must not have a romantic picture of Africa
before colonialism.
I think it's even
better that Zimbabwe and other African countries were colonized
by the British. What if they were the communist, Chinese or Indians
or Arabs? The governments in China and India are completely cruel.
At least the British are better governments they help the starving
and in good faith talk of democracy, human rights and education
for blacks.
Let's
use every opportunity to speak the truth and challenge the pervasion
of UNITY GOVERNMENT. ZANU PF must go.
