must do the right thing for Zimbabwe at this hour of trial- CPIA

The Centre for Peace
Initiatives in Africa (CPIA) would like to appeal to the Zimbabwe
Electoral Commission (ZEC) to expedite the announcement of results
for the 2008 Harmonised Elections. Meanwhile CPIA appeals to the
people of Zimbabwe to remain calm.
It further appeals to
the Government of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe African National Union Patriotic
Front (ZANU PF), Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) - Tsvangirai
Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) -Mutambara, Independent
Candidate Simba Makoni and his supporters and all other stakeholders
to do the right thing for the sake of Zimbabwe.
CPIA further appeals
to the African Union (AU), Southern African Development Community
(SADC), United Nations (UN), European Union (EU) and the entire
International Community to be supportive of the right thing that
the people of Zimbabwe would have done at this hour of trial for
Zimbabwe.
The Centre for Peace
Initiatives in Africa (CPIA) is a regional peace organization based
in Harare, Zimbabwe, established in February 2001 and endeavours
to make a contribution towards the promotion of sustainable peace,
stability and security in Africa, through conflict prevention, management
and resolution.
