outreach civic society meetings continue
Crisis
in Zimbabwe Coalition

The Crisis in
Zimbabwe Coalition (Crisis Coalition) will be continuing with its
rural outreach and civic society leaders' briefing meetings
program. The first meeting, which is part of the rural outreach,
shall take place in Honde Valley in Manicaland province, on the
21st of November 2007 at 1200hrs to 1500 hrs. The meeting is aimed
at providing a platform for rural communities to discuss topical
issues which will be centralized on the Electoral framework, the
SADC Initiative, the Constitutional
Amendment 18 prior to the 2008 General Elections.
The second meeting will
be on the 22nd of November 2007 at Mt View Hotel from 0800hrs to
1300hrs. The agenda of this meeting is to make consultations especially
from the civic leaders in Manicaland with regards to elections as
part of the All-Stakeholders meeting held on the 29th of September
2007.
Meanwhile, the
National
Association of Societies for the Care of the Handicapped (NASCOH)
will also be holding an All Stakeholders Workshop at Troutbeck Inn,
Nyanga. The organization stands as the voice of the physically and
mentally disabled. The workshop scheduled for the 21st to the 22nd
November 2007's main objective is to come up with a national
disabilities' Policy.
The organization will
again be celebrating the International Day for Disabled Persons
at Chipadze stadium in Bindura (Mashonaland East) on the 3rd of
December 2007.
Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition celebrates the efforts by the National
association in standing for the rights of the handicapped.
