As the political crisis mounts in Zimbabwe, IWPR launches a fortnightly newsletter with stories and photographs from inside Zimbabwe to capture the mood of a fast-developing situation and offer unique perspectives from local voices.

The coming months look to be a critical, perhaps decisive time for Zimbabwe's leaders and its people, and it is more important than ever that honest, impartial reporting is heard above the clamour of political confrontation.

Working under extreme conditions and at great risk to themselves, IWPR's network of contributors in Zimbabwe are recording the views and aspirations of ordinary Zimbabweans as well as seeking informed analysis and comment from the experts.

This project is part of IWPR's Southern Africa Good Governance and Media Development Programme, which aims to contribute to the growth of good governance, the rule of law, and the resolution of conflict as part of democratisation in the region.
