The Chairperson
of the Commission, Alpha Oumar Konare, has followed with great concern
the recent developments in Zimbabwe.
The Chairperson
of the Commission recalls the need for the scrupulous respect for
human rights and democratic principles in Zimbabwe, in accordance
with the AU Constitutive Act. He urges all concerned parties to
commence a sincere and constructive dialogue in order to resolve
the problems facing Zimbabwe.
