NYDT holds youth council elections
National Youth Development Trust

The NYDT conducted Bulawayo Youth Council (BYC) elections in ten wards last weekend. The elections, which were held by way of a secret ballot, saw Muzi Masuku, Enock Twaya, Goodman Ncube, Philip Lunga, Linda Simanga, Munyaradzi Ndlovu, Nqobile Ndlovu, Evalason Yobe, Nqobile Moyo, and Happyson Ncube elected as youth councillors. The elections were held in wards 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 27 and 28. The organisation also took the opportunity to formulate new ward structures by way of voting as well. The youth councilors and the ward committees were given the mandate to work together in initiating and facilitating community developmental initiatives in their respective wards. They called on the organisation to assist by way of capacitating them on the best means of executing their duties effectively. The BYC elections are set to continue in Nkulumane, Nketa, Sizinda, Mpopoma, Tshabalala and Barham Green this weekend.
