Youths
use art to tackle HIV/AIDS View this article on The Zimbabwean website Youths had a memorable weekend when the Young Africa Skills Centre, in partnership with SAFAIDS, set aside a day for them to discuss the HIV/AIDS pandemic through music, dance, drama and poem. Running under the theme 'Celebrate life-fight against HIV/AIDS', it was also a platform for the young generation to showcase their talents. The most exceptional performers walked away with prizes and Churchill Boys High left viewers salivating for more when they premiered their drama based on child trafficking. The event was also graced by renowned gospel group Mahendere brothers, upcoming young artist Spider Kid, Madiz, Micky D and many others. The organisers said staging such events aimed at discouraging unprotected sex among youths. "It is very important for us to host such events because the youth are the most sexually active group and we want them to lead the fight against HIV/AIDS," said a spokesman.
