Creating
the future we want

I envision a
world with peace and harmony, where enemies chat, meet and dine
together. Greed has resulted in the fights and hatred among people.
"Everything should be mine", is the spirit that has destroyed
our world. I foresee a world where the poor and the rich become
one, where the rich can humble themselves to be able to extend their
hand to the poor. For goodness sake, why should one own mansions,
billions of dollars, own half of the land when other people are
homeless. Oh peace, peace in the world. This variance between the
poor and the rich result into idol worshipping and perpetuate resource
power against the poor. It can only mean that the rich will remain
rich while the poor remain poorer.
What are nuclear
plants for when the hungry remain hungry? The poor remain poorer?
Where is love today? I envision a future where people are equal,
enjoy their rights and earn respect for each other. People hurt
each other due to racial differences but what difference do we have
is the question. We think in the same manner, we eat from the same
pot, we are brothers and sisters and so it is time we build a future
were race becomes like the air we breathe which we do not ask ourselves
what colour or shape it is. We just breathe and so we just have
to love one another with respect and honour.
Why should we
differentiate and say there are super powers and if ever there are
minor powers and yet we are all people. It is prudent to have a
colourful and equality in all our doings. A future with enough food
for all, love, peace and harmony is what l desire. Super or not,
the bottom line is we are all destined to death and why should we
therefore neither kill nor hurt. Oh peace, peace in the world. Look
at China and the United States of America, for goodness sake we
have one environment, one ozone and one earth. Why should the whole
world suffer for their refusal to cut down on green house gas emissions
for the purposes of production. It is only because there are unknown
fears that someone will take over and eventually become the world's
giant but for what benefit will this have for the world? I envision
a future where the environment is respected because it is not limited
to countries as boundaries demarcated by men. There is no truth
is this world. I foresee a future where the truth is told and respected.
Oh yes, peace, peace in the world. A future where people will understand
that all we embark on is just but in vain one day it comes to an
end and therefore respecting humanity and God given wonders are
paramount.
I do not believe
there is anything like recession, in my view, it is an artificial
depression caused by a few individuals to control the world. But
why should this be when the world continues to suffer? The money
we had 5 years ago is the same money still in rotation around the
world? And so where has it gone today to be said there is serious
recession? I envision a world with honest and people with a heart.
A world in which the future is always put first and the future are
the children. Where children are respected and protected. Where
violence ends in dreams and never a reality. Where love, gender
equity, peace, romance and roses glide from dreams to reality. Oh
yes, peace, peace in the world.
I envision the
day on which the word sorry regain its meaning, where revenge becomes
a play station subject, where fire and hate has no room in the minds
of the masses, where there are people and no lower, middle or upper
class. I envision a future in which the people finally become the
government, the government becoming the people. I foresee a future
where every citizen of any nation is part and parcel of the army,
where every citizen is responsible for their country and need for
army recruitment vanishes. I desire a future where taekwondo, karate,
kung-fu and boxing are meant for physical fitness or witnessed on
play-station. What a future it will be!
I dream of a
future where any human can smell democracy from any angle, where
blood diamonds become as good as any other mineral, why blood over
a piece of stone. It is all about greed.
