The
Just Children Foundation newsletter: July - August 2011 Download
this document Note from The Executive Director I pray this newsletter finds you all well. I would like to thank you all for your continued support and prayers. This work would not be possible without you all. It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you all on the passing away of Mr. Joseph Schroffner on the 10th of August in his home country, Austria, while on holiday with his family. Uncle Joseph was married to one of our Board members Mrs. Jill Schroffner (fondly known by all in JCF as Aunty Jill). Joseph and his wife have been supporters of JCF since the beginning of the Ministry in 1998. They have both been unwavering in their support to the children and the staff. We will specially miss Uncle Joseph at all our Christmas parties because they have been greatly involved in these as a couple. To Uncle Joseph we say may your dear soul rest in peace and to Aunty Jill and family we say our prayers and love are with you during this difficult time in you life, but we know the greatest comforter is God Almighty and may you experience his peace at this time which surpasses all understanding. In the month of July we were blessed by the Taylor family, Curt, Christine, Shani and Kate. This family has been supporting JCF for years now and they have made it a point to visit JCF at least once in two years all the way from the US. They continue to be a blessing to us. Read more about their visit later in the newsletter. Mr. Stellan Backlund from Sweden's UN Association of Ornskoldsvik also visited us in August. Mr. Backlund and his wife, Margareta along with their friends have also been part of the work in JCF for years and we are ever grateful for their continued support. Unfortunately we were not able to host our golf tournament as anticipated on the 5th of August, but we are grateful to those who had responded positively. The tournament has been moved to 9 December and we pray that as many of you our friends will be able to assist us in this fundraiser. We appeal to you all to help us even with expertise in organising this tournament. Starting with this newsletter and the upcoming newsletters we will be introducing our members of staff to you.
