Agenda
gets governance and democracy nomination
Youth Agenda
Trust has been nominated for the 2010 governance and democracy award
for its outstanding in promoting good governance and democracy in
Zimbabwe by Crisis
in Zimbabwe Coalition (CZC).
The nomination
was in recognition of the outstanding role that YAT has played in
mobilizing young people to participate in the constitutional reform
process.
Accepting the
nomination certificate YAT coordinator Arnold Chamunogwa acknowledge
the efforts of CZC in profiling the work of young human rights defenders.
"CZC remains
one of the few organizations which acknowledges and celebrates the
work of young people in various fields. The coalition has been consistent
in advocating for intergenerational leadership within the Zimbabwean
society, hence this is recognition of the sacrifices of many young
people who work towards the democratization of Zimbabwe,"
Chamunogwa said.
