  • Minister spends third night in jail over cell phone circus
    Youth Forum
    July 30, 2009

Plotted MDC-T deputy minister for youth, Honorable Tamsanqa Mahlangu will spend another chilly night in remand prison after overzealous state prosecutor Chris Mutangadura opposed bail this afternoon citing that the whole respected MP for Nkulumane was likely to flee the country over Chinotimba's old cell phone which the defense council C. Kwaramba valued for only R50 if it were to be bought in South Africa.

The minister flatly denies the charges and believes that this is a well orchestrated ploy by ZANU-PF to punish him for his political convictions in the same fashion that several other MDC-T MPs are being politically persecuted under the instructions of ZANU-PF through political appointee Johannes Tomana, the attorney general.

Meanwhile the decision to grant the minister bail will be delivered tomorrow at 1115AM at Rotten Magistrate Courts in court 20.

The Youth Forum is boycotting the Zimbabwe Youth Council led youth constitutional Indaba penciled for August 13 in Bulawayo. We firmly believe that there is no need to continue cooperating with Zanu PF youth institutions like the Zimbabwe Youth Council when our youth leaders continue to suffer unnecessary political humiliation at the hands of an unrepentant ZANU-PF regime.
