ZANU PF thugs attack mourners There was pandemonium at Warren Hills Cemetery as a multitude of about 200 rowdy ZANU PF youths suspected to be Border Gezi graduates stormed the cemetery to disrupt the burial of two MDC activists, Godfrey 'Musoja' Kauzani and Ken Nyeve. As mourners arrived at the cemetery to bury the deceased who ironically, were murdered by ZANU PF militia in Murehwa recently, the ZANU PF youths descended on the mourners in two lorries and other smaller trucks forcing the mourners to flee in different directions. Two people among the mourners suffered broken legs in the pandemonium as they fled the visibly drunk youths who were promising to 'deal with the sellouts'. The ZANU PF youths further went on to fill the graves of the two deceased before they had been buried. The funeral of the two MDC members failed to take place on time as a result of this attack. Several vehicles belonging to some mourners were stoned by the youths as they were forced to flee the cemetery in a huff. Police only intervened after one and half hours but they could not control the youths, they only negotiated with them to allow burial for the corpses and they only allowed five people to re-dig the graves and the car owners who had left their cars to collect them in five minutes. The police openly admitted that their hands are tied since it is a political issue, which requires a political solution. Any reasonable person expected the riot police to be deployed to calm the situation but contrary to that only ten visibly powerless policemen were deployed to the scene and the youths continued to dictate the pace. One wonders when normalcy will return to this beleaguered country. It is a wonder where ZANU PF intends to take its violent charade given that they have since declared that their youths will have a Youth March that to kick-start their presidential runoff election campaign.
