Parirenyatwa Hospital has started evicting patients admitted at the hospital as doctors continue with their national strike. A visit by the Crisis Coalition team at the aligning health utility showed that the majority of the hospital beds were virtually empty. The team observed as the administrative staff assisted patients out of the building.

This will lead to loss of lives, which could have been avoided if the government had taken heed of the demands of the doctors before they downed their tools due to poor remuneration and working environment. However, the government chose to ignore the plight of the health practitioners.
