Crisis
Coalition elects new leadership
Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition (CIZ)
March 12, 2004
We wish to inform
our members and general members of the public that Brian Kagoro has been
elected the new chairman of Crisis Coalition for the next one year taking
over from Professor Brian Raftopolous whose term of office has expired.
Kagoro, a prominent
constitutional lawyer and human rights activist has already accepted the
post. Barnabas Mangodza, the director of Combined Harare Residents’ Association
is the new Vice-Chairperson taking over from Janah Ncube.
We feel greatly indebted
to the outgoing executive for its immense contribution and dedication
to the cause of democracy and human rights in Zimbabwe. We acknowledge
that the leadership of Professor Brian Raftopolous (Outgoing Chairman),
Janah Ncube (Outgoing Vice-Chairperson) and Everjoice Win
(Outgoing Spokeswoman) was an inspirational one.
Crisis Coalition wishes
the new team an eventful and enjoyable term of office and hope that they
will continue to fly high the flag of democracy and good governance, which
the Coalition so much cherishes.
