Describe
yourself in five words?
35 years old, father, separated, unemployed and in human rights
advocacy field.
What’s
the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Honesty and hard work pay.
What’s
the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever done?
Abandoning going to church and venture in guzzling
What
is you most treasured possession?
My daughter, Ruvimbo Jane Benhura
What
do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
Realise that some leaders (statesmen) are violating human rights
and freedoms daily but keep on clinging to power and refuse to address
and redress their short comings and inhuman acts.
Do you
have any strange hobbies?
No.
What
do you dislike most about your appearance?
Nothing, otherwise I will be cursing God.
What
is your greatest extravagance?
Buying clothes and guzzling lots of beer.
What
do you have in your fridge?
I am sorry, I do not have a fridge. I live in the countryside areas
(rural areas) which have no electricity. Again, I cannot afford
to buy a fridge.
What
is you greatest fear?
Violence.
What
do you have in your pickets right now?
Reading materials and my I.D only.
What
is your favourite journey?
Going to the U.S.A, interact and meet with human rights defenders
and politicians.
Who
are your heroes in real life?
My parents, all human rights defenders and democrats.
When
and where were you happiest?
Here and in Harare when I excelled in my Ordinary and Advanced levels
and when my daughter was born in Harare.
What’s
you biggest vice?
Nothing.
What
were you like at school?
I was intelligent both in class and in extramural activities. I
passed both my Ordinary and Advanced levels and failed to get tuition
fees for university/college education due to poor background.
What
are you doing next?
Currently, I am a human rights defender here and hoping to keep
up with the work. Wishing that maybe one day my dream of going to
the University will come true and educate my only daughter.
