Describe yourself in five words?
Needs mending, broken beyond words.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Not to worry about what people think of me because they are busy worrying about what I think of them too.

What’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever done?
Fall in love.

What is your most treasured possession?
My eyes.

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
Losing hope.

Do you have any strange hobbies?
Umm . . . nah.

What do you dislike most about your appearance?
I love every bit of me.

What is your greatest extravagance?
Books, eish even when I know I am broke and I find that book I’ve been looking for I buy it.

What have you got in your fridge?
Packs of boiled round nuts, beans, chicken, pork & fish, uncooked mealies, Kefalos Natural Yoghurt.

What is your greatest fear?
Death.

What have you got in your pockets right now?
Unfortunately no pockets on me today.

What is your favourite journey?
Going to Murewa to see my parents, I never tire of it.

Who are your heroes in real life?
My mother and father.

When and where were you happiest?
Have I ever been? Not yet . . .

What’s your biggest vice?
Silence.

What were you like at school?
Too quiet & shy most people find it difficult to believe I am now a performance poet.

What are you doing next?
Heading for Maputo to receive my Nosside Medal and Certificate for the Italian poetry competition I took part in, in 2012.
