Passionate but down to earth.

What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Work smart not hard.

What's the most ridiculous thing you've ever done?
I bit the head off a fish once. I don't want to talk about it.

What is your most treasured possession?
My Apple Mac computer.

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
When you can't find any joy or beauty in your situation. When you don't even feel sadness.

Do you have any strange hobbies?
Psychedelic Tennis.

What do you dislike most about your appearance?
I hate the way my hair grows forward. My friends refer to my hair as the "Coo Du" (Kudu).

What is your greatest extravagance?
I recently spent R6000 buying a camera. But I'm working on a documentary so hopefully it will come in handy.

What have you got in your fridge?
Definitely broccoli. Lots of healthy vegetables. Feta, definitely. Fish. No beer. I drink brandy.

What is your greatest fear?
Losing my confidence. Losing enthusiasm for what I do.

What have you got in your pockets right now?
$22 and an ipod.

What is your favourite journey?
Hiking through the Transkei for 6 days.

Who are your heroes in real life?
I have so many: in film Ben Stiller, Rowan Atkinson and Adam Sandler. They also produce stuff. Gavin Hood of Tsotsi fame. Pablo Picasso and lots of rock stars such as Mick Jagger and Johnny Clegg - to name a few.

When and where were you happiest?
HIFA 2010, HIFA 2009 is a close second.

What's your biggest vice?
Coffee and following sports results.

What were you like at school?
Very, very sporty. Very creative. I was friends with everyone but I didn't ever fit into any group.

What are you doing next?
I'm working on a documentary and also a new show for the Grahamstown Festival this year.
