Tall dark and handsome.
What's
the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Don't ever listen to my advice.
What's
the most ridiculous thing you've ever done?
When I was in Grade 12 - I entered a Best Body bathing
suit contest and had to oil up my body because I didn't actually
have any muscles. I didn't even win! The guy who told me to
put the oil on won.
What
is your most treasured possession?
My safe conduct pass from Chief Chiweshe.
What
do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
The morning after twelve Castles.
Do you
have any strange hobbies?
I'm a photographer!
What
do you dislike most about your appearance?
I don't think I look like I think I look.
What
is your greatest extravagance?
Coming to Zimbabwe.
What
have you got in your fridge?
A quarter bottle of mazoe, a rotting bunch of vegetables,
lemon cream biscuits, 1/3 a jar of mixed fruit jam. And I've
got to keep the cockroaches from eating the ends of vegetables.
Do you know I have a lizard in my house? I love my lizard.
What
is your greatest fear?
Zimbabwe.
What
have you got in your pockets right now?
Two flash drives, keys to my guest room, USD 22, and a
microfibre cloth.
What
is your favourite journey?
I did it twice in the last two days. The drive to Bare
on the road to Centenary. The mountains are amazing. It is absolutely
stunning.
Who
are your heroes in real life?
Bob Geldolf, Bono, Dr Thistle.
When
and where were you happiest?
I was really happy last night reading Oscar Wilde, the
Picture of Dorian Gray. I read the weirdest things when I come to
Africa. It shapes the pictures.
What's
your biggest vice?
I'm older now. I don't have vices, I only have
erotic thoughts.
What
were you like at school?
Non-descript and boring.
What
are you doing next?
I'm going to make a very interesting book about hope,
faith and tenacity.
