HIFA 2006 - picture story

The 7th edition of the Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA) kicked off in Harare on April 25. The festival which ended on April 30, opened in style with a traditional ceremony known as the 'HIFA Dandaro'. The Dandaro was presented by Zimbabwe's popular mbira players, Mawungira Enharira.

"This is how we do it", seemed to be the chants from the young old man from Bulawayo. Known as the Cool Crooners, they were part of the township jazz concert on April 30 were they performed alongside the Dudu Manhenga and Mbare Trio.
