August 05, 2005
 To
celebrate 25 years of Zimbabwean independence and cinema, ZIFF is
featuring a selection of films by Zimbabweans at home and abroad.
The Zimbabwe Calabash is a collection of films to be screened at
ZIFF 2005 which are either directed by, produced by, written by
or starring a Zimbabwean.
Opening Night
in Avondale will feature an open-air screening of Riding With Sugar,
a dynamic short film by South African based film prodigy Sunu Gonera.
The film will precede the free concert by Divas Live! featuring
Dudu Manhenga, Prudence Katomeni and Sharon Manyika.
Calabash screenings
at ZIFF will be preceded by performances by some of Zimbabwes
