The Attorney

to drag its feet in thebail application hearing for Cynthia Manjoro
and 7other activists who are still in police custody 60 days after
they were arrested
on the 29th of May 2011 on accusations of killing
a police officer in Glenview. The eight are facing charges of
contravening Section 47 of the Criminal
Law Reform and Codification Act.
Prosecutor Manhiri
requested the court to defer the case to tomorrow Thursday 28 July
2011 to allow his colleague Edmore Nyamazamba to argue the case.
Efforts by defense lawyers, Jeremiah Bamu and Tawanda Zhuwarara

that the judiciary should exercise its duties in a non partisan
manner.
